A couple of tactical battle issues I don't think have been mentioned yet (and forgive me if they have; I'm kinda new to the forums here...)
edit: my apologies; forgot to mention for the record that this is with build 0.8
First - should a webbed unit block movement for non-webbed units? Example:

The selected unit, my sovereign, should be able to move past the webbed sand golem (and then use her ability to get a second turn to end up in melee range of the spider). Since her movement is not allowed for some reason, even with her second move she won't get into range. (Note that my spearmen passed over that square earlier, so I don't think this is an impassable square bug; seemed to happen only after the golem got webbed. I could be wrong, though - don't actually remember the path the spearmen took when they advanced.)
I like my spearmen, coupled with the second wind ability to give them more mobility, I find Impale to be very useful. Except, of course, when it's not...

For the record, the bandit shows in range for a melee attack, just shows 'Target is out of range' for the impale attack. (and, yes, that's the closest bandit targeted, the one right next to me...)
Lest you think I must have done something wrong, here it is again in a different battle - it seems to recur... Same setup, though - a carefully maveuvered spearmen gets to the end of the enemy line, only to find he can't impale. Frustrating.
