When creating a male sovereign, selecting (DARK) items shows (LIGHT) items on the character and vice versa.
This is the same as it was in FE, isn't it? I don't remember it being mentioned in the FE beta, but I know that I, for one, have just been putting up with it and selecting a different item or customizing colors since then.
It depends on what you cloth colors are. Light and Dark are bad names for what they are, since they basically mean color1 or color2.
