Well sorry mate, but it can be very frustrating when a saved game becomes corrupt. In particular when I read the forums and like 60-70% of the posts are about corrupted files. Like I said, your link is Frogboy's forum with the 1.29 patch and I have read those comments. This is actually a quote of Frogboy himself:
"I don't mean any offense by this but if you're patience is already at an end, it's probably not a good idea to be trying out builds that I'm making from my machine. They're designed for people willing to try out stuff that hasn't even been looked at by anyone but me (and only on my own home PC)."
So, this means the official 1.20 patch is not working well and Frogboy tries to solve to problem with his own customization, which is not official. The people over there mention that even with Frogboy's patch 1.29 your corrupted file will still exist and probably I need to start a new game, but even with patch 1.29 it is not 100% sure that no corruption of your saved file will occur. However, like Frogboy said, it is not an official patch and I do not know what will change with my games when I apply patch 1.29(which is still beta) and afterwards the official 1.30 patch.
Tha fact is, that I am a patient guy, but if some of these comments I have read are right, then I can understand the frustration from some customers. For example, after several months, the game is still not stable as saved files become corrupted. When I ask about this on the forums, nobody knows the answer, but I need to download a beta patch, which is not really acceptable mate.
Its not about being impatient, but I saw a game with great potential, that I really like and now I have noticed that the game is unstable and many people had the risk of saved file corruption. Yes, I want to play the game, but in a normal state with no strange customizations etc. So basically there is no solution for saved files and the only thing I can do is download an unofficial patch which is not recommended by the developer himself?
