Hoping someone can help, each time I try to run the latest patch I get a message informing me it is only for the release versiona dn I must uninstall the beta first> I have gone through the uninstall process, manually deleted all files & folders created at install. Also manually going through my entire registry removing all references of "fall enchantress", "fallen" and "enchantress". Just to be absolutley sure I also ran cc cleaner and did a clear out of everthing followed by a reboot.

Now when I try to do my initial install I get the following message just after I have told the installer what path to install to. "Windows installer service could not be accessed. This can occur if the windows installer service is not correctly installed."

After clicking the ok button on this popup window the installer then seems to progress along nicely, however at the end of the process it tells me the installer has failed for the exact same reason. Although I can still play the game just fine, I am unable to apply any updates as I just get messages about removing the beta.

I have also checked that I do have a fully updated version of Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable on my system.

Any ideas?
