Yes, that's my resolution. So I got the game almost a week ago during the sale. Finally have enough time to get around to playing it and I'm greeted by this error message everytime I boot the game up.
*Click*
*Typical Obnoxious Windows Error Noise*
Error Message "Your desktop resolution is bla...."
*Fash of the game displayed at my current resolution before it vanishes*
So is the game just trolling me right now? Or is this game really the only game in 2002-2012 that can't fit on my screen?
[Edit]
Just to provide more information, I'm playing on a 4:3 monitor. But I have my display set to a letterbox mode because of a cluster of dead pixels that formed on the bottom and tops of my monitor. (Oh and because widescreen is just better) So if I really have to change to a 4:3 resolution that's even more ancient than 720 then I'll be missing out on half of the UI that's placed at the bottom of the screen.
If there's no way for me to get a workaround for this till I can get a new monitor then I think it'd be helpful to specify this limitation for the game.
- OS:Windows 8 / 7 SP1 / Vista SP2 / XP SP3
- Processor:2.4 GHz Processor
- Memory:1 GB RAM
- Graphics:128 MB DirectX 9.0c Compliant Video Card w/Pixel Shader 2.0 (Radeon x1600 / GeForce 6800)
- DirectX®:9.0c
- Hard Drive:5 GB HD space
- Sound:DirectX 9.0c Compatible Sound Card
- Other Requirements: To activate this game you must create a Stardock account while launching the game on Steam.
And in the "Other Requirements:" Box put the compatible resolutions. Would've just been nice to know -.-
But there has to be a workaround. I mean there's some for getting older games like Baldur's Gate or Diablo 2 into a widescreen resolution why not this game?
