.980 Not Able To See Changes In Game...?

Hey guys -

Since .980 I can't get my changes to show up in the game. I thought they shut off the online xml check.

I've tried use mods, -localdataonly, regular startup...all with no effect.

Any ideas?

I can verify that -localdataonly is no longer necessary in 0.980. It MAY be necessary in 0.980b which was a special build uploaded to help people with corrupt xml files to play properly. Maybe they just turned slipstream back on for that build.

Make sure you don't have any mods interfering with your changes mqpiffle. Make sure you don't have any temporary backup files in the installation directory.

I had "clean" XML going into .980. Then I tried to make a couple of minor changes, but I couldn't get them to show up in-game.

I think I installed the .980b patch thinking it was another major patch. Maybe it did do something...
