Not sure how this is working, but I'm nearing completion of my first full game (haven't had much time to play lately) and I'm noticing a few bugs. Not sure if the save game is enough, but I've attached it via dropbox link. I'm playing Tarth/easy/large map/all other selections were the default.
Here is what I'm noticing:
TACTICAL
1. On several occasions, in large tactical battles, the active character's actions disappear and I have to skip thier turn. I can still travel and attack creatures if they are within range with the mouse commands, but cannot select spells or special attacks.
2. The HP bars are often wrong, either not reflecting the true HP or have the top of the bar filled, then some missing (black bar) and then more filled at the end.
3. Arrows or other ranged attacks coming from the upper left side of the screen instead of originating from the attacking character (both the PCs and NPCs)
4. Having an enemy in the square right in front of you prohibits movement past that enemy. Not sure if this is a bug or working as intended, but It is annoying when I have a massive tactical movement but can't go passed the small creature in the front to attack the larger threat right behind him.
5. After my last (auto) save, the next turn an army attacks my squad of two champions, but only one appears on the tatical map. If I use the escape spell for that champion, the non-existent one is shown as defeated on the exit screen (battle summary).
AUTORESOLVE
6. I've noticed that when I put any army that is lesser matched in front of a stronger army to slow it down or weaken it, the only enemy unit that takes damage is ALWAYS the last unit on the list, and then only for a vary small amount of damage. Not sure if it is working as intended or a bug, but it is very odd. With the same armies on tactical battles I deal much more damage without employing any real strategy, basically move forward and poke. I may target the enemies with the lowest defense, but that's it if I do anything.
7. Autoresolving battles with my high level champion against large enemy armies (6+ units) rarely defeats all enemies. Sometimes I have to attack the same army three or four times before all the enemies are defeated (one or two units are killed each time)
WORLD MAP
8. Now coming to the end, I'm seeing an AMAZING amount of lag.
9. Very often notable locations are invisable. The show up in the description, however, if I roll over them with the mouse cursor; and if I move on the tile it almost always gives me the reward or activates the location. This can be beast lairs that disappear from the map after I defeat the beast, or certain quest starts.
10. Also now toward the end, transitioning from the World Map to a Tatical battle is where I'm seeing most of my crashes.
11. I'm having a lot of pathing issues. This usually results in a unit leaving a road and wasting a movement which is frustrating.
12. This is not a bug, and I know there has been several comments on this before (including one I have thrown out there), but I really do not like the current outpost dynamic. It's not fun and requires a level of micromanaging that I have started to find annoying. I'd reiterate that I'd like to see some sort of fortification function where you can garrison forces at the outpost like in cities. When you have competing outposts/forts then the zone of control could be a function of your faction's influence and the military might of the garrisoned forces. When a fort is built immediately adjacent to a resource (and is first in time to do so), then that resource should be included in the fortifications as in cities. That adds both a bonus for building right next to a resource, and a strategic element in deciding what resources require more protection if multiple resources are involved. I do not like the idea of adding modules to make forts/outposts acheive certain bonuses, but I would not be adverse to having traits for the champions that could effect the stats, like extra defense or production. I also would not grant them a militia like in cities, they would have to be staffed externally. I know this a core mechanic of the game, but something really needs to be done to make outpost less onerous to maintain.
