Thanks, this is why with notebook touchpad i wasnt able to do.
Also remember that the camera will automatically switch back to default view when you let go anyway unless you disable that option.
And that 1,2,3,4 switch between different, pre-set camera positions, which can be very useful if you move the camera, but then everything looks unfamiliar, and you want to go back to the default setting.

Is there any way to disable the reverting back to the starting angle? I'd rather play the game with the camera looking directly north. Also, the starting angle is not quite perfectly aligned to the diagonal, and the pedant in me is infuriated by this.
Options, find the option that says "Snap back when rotating" and turn it off
