Bitchy Neighbor

So my neighbor to the north frequently runs through my area, and I have been able to run through his with no qualms. Now all of a sudden everytime I try to cut through his land he bitches me out and makes me leave (or declare war). Not interested in war with him right now, so I complied and he booted me out. NOW he still thinks he has the right to cut through my land, so I keep catching him and giving him the boot, which he whines about telling me not to worry about him, that he is friends with me. 

The bastard won't stop cutting through my land. Doesn't he know that i'm human! lol

Does anyone know if there is logic in place where a computerized opponent might respect the borders if they have asked you to leave theirs, or is there no concern for this situation by the AI?

Known bug.  If you've made a non-aggression treaty, logically they should be able to move through your land, but you should also be able to move through theirs.

No the AI is a pain on this subject, and I hope we get a fix at some point, cause its frustrating the hell out of me that borders are no where near sacred, even if the AI don't even want a war.

I'm at a loss on this one... kicking AI out of territory is kind of a pain.  On the flipside it is annoying to sit at a border and repeatedly try and get though an outpost maze, hoping on certain turns the AI doesn't kick me out and hoping roads and my move count will get me to a 'safe zone.'  Cheesy on my part.

It doesn't make sense to make the borders = walls, but the mechanics are annoying and I don't know the rules between when I get kicked out or not.  But then again, how is the AI to know you aren't building a secret army to take them out?  I'm not sure what it would take to 'fix' this.

Personally I have a big theory about game design and how it could change, I think it would benefit the game to have more "wildlands" which I am to travel, instead of having to travel through hostile country borders.
On the flipside, there should be treaties that allow or help me travel through other players borders, the diplomacy options for this is very rigid ATM and I miss an option to ask for my sovereign to travel through a piece of land in a  certain manner.
All up to the imagination of Derek I guess (and a little bit of the patience and imagination of the coders)

There should be a third option when they try to kick you out, "Bugger off, declare war if you have to, but I'm passing through" and then they have the option of declaring war or not.  Call their bluff basically, especially if you're more powerful then they are.

I forgot about this...but I feel the exact same.  If I want to declare war, declare war.  I don't think the option of 100% chance of conflict is appropriate.  True enough the game kind of does this by not 100% kicking you out every time you enter, but...well quite frankly I don't know how this works on the AI end.  Do they take into consideration the fact you can paste them into asking you to leave?

Save us all the whack-a-mole hassle by restricting AI behavior to crossing neighboring borders with players that they are currently willing to go to war with.

 

This is how a game of FE can feel sometimes.
