Is there any reason not to cast Meditation, Inspiration, and Enchanted Hammers on every city you own?
When you conquer an enemy city, is it possible to find out what the number of food and materials it was founded on?
Is the injury Hallucinations actually bad? Seems pretty good for a mage type
1: City Enchantments
Is super awesome to cast on cities with little or few things they want to produce, especially gets rather "violent" with a good ol' city spam, granting you tons of mana even without getting any shards.
Is rather powerful early game for a benefit of +2 to research even before 10% bonus, doubling your starting research points for a meager 1 mana per turn, if you are not heavy on spell-casting on your sovereign, this benefit is way better than the racial of Pariden which gives a meager 10% bonus to research.
If you have the mana, inspiration enchantment on all your cities will make you research faster than the faction that only runs on the research boost of Pariden, giving you a rather powerful tech advantage, especially if you focus on some powerful technology.
Is rather nice on 4-5 material cities if you need to spit out high level troops in quick succession, can help you build those ins and pubs way faster and is a nice addition to get the world wonders before other plays, don't underestimate the power of focusing 1 city on lots of production, the thing that can make this spell essentially super powerful is it scales with earth shards, so with 5-6 earth shards you will like boost production by as much as 30% on a late-game big city.
Gives you a superior 20% boost to food production, which is Essential to getting level 5 cities (ok you CAN do it without, but it is terribly hard) this spell can help beef up cities at the start without much food research to level 3 cities to be able to start on some early world wonders, or plain just give another city level benefit. Again, also 20% boost to research in the city since It will have 20% more citizens makes this spell a massive boost to research and combining with inspiration makes a powerful research capital.
2:Finding materials and Food output of conquered cities
Yes you can, if you go into the city details (Click on the city where you can choose between "Build", "Train", "Details", and "Raze" and click "Details",
hover the mouse over "Production" and you will see
"+0.1 per population (XXX) +XX.X"
"+15 per Materials (4) +60"
and some misc. (like great mill bonus, meditation penatly, and unrest penalty.
The numbers are of-course random numbers, but the bolded (4) is how many materials the city have, though this number also uses nearby "Clay Pits" and similar, you might wanna check for those improvements.
The same theory applies when hovering over "Food".
Edit: Or you could look at the left side where it says:
3: Hallucinations Injury
The injury hallucination are the BEST injury, but negative spell resist can still mean trouble when meeting some enemy spell casters.
Though that injury in particular might need some re-balancing, though I have not yet seen it in 0.91 for some reason.
Edit: Worked a bit on the looks of the post
