Before I head to the new version, a few bugs I found in 0.90:
The most annoying one I found seems to occur with counterattacks when you have a damage dealing aura up (like mantle of fire). The enemy attacks you, and will die to the aura, then you counterattack, killing it again. The battle then locks up about 75% of the time, the only option is to autoresolve and discover some fairly different results, with units dying rather than the flawless victory you earned.
Speaking of magical spells with bugs, I'm wondering if either flame wave or titan's breath are working in 0.9, nothing happened whenever I used them or air elementals did.
And cull the weak seems to only give mana, not HP too as the tooltip states, at least when used on slaves. It seems quite powerful early on anyways, though.
Moving to other bugs, the crash on entering diplomacy I've seen mentioned other places.
I've also gotten messages asking me to go to war on people I'm already at war with. Sure I'll take your 300 gold to fight the people I'm already attacking . . .
And other diplomatic messages telling me that the AI has cursed a city I don't own. Its always the same city . .I find that my cities have been cursed sometimes as well, but this is never mentioned in messages. Not sure if its an error on cityname, or if it really is cursing that city and mine as well on the side.
When I load a save that has a city with a captured drake nest(?) I find it spawns a new drake if I don't have one. I can't build the drake (don't have the tech for it) but I get one for free on loading a save if the old one died.
I can't rebuild a city that was razed by monsters on the same spot. Seems like there's some shenanigans with other cities built in afterwards being considered too close to starting spot or something, but it feels like I should be able to rebuild where the last one fell.
Speaking of monsters . .the spiders spawned by the capstone quest spawned in the ocean, on unreachable bits of shore, just about everywhere (including on my city that got razed . .which was fun but a d'oh moment)
When on horseback and getting a shield block, the animation glitched.
No images on the custom unit poses, probably known bug or assets just not in yet
Icons on the clothmap sometimes don't show up, especially quest markers, and I once had spawned spiders (that same capstone quest) show on the cloth map but not on the main map.
I oddly got attacked twice in a row by Morian, the Ruin of Summer. The first time I killed it, didn't get any reward popup, the second attack (right after) the guardian was very weak (about 50-100 hp), and I received the reward properly.
More changes/preferences than bugs:
Not sure if population for Magnar is working as intended. I'm getting growth without capturing things, and can even grab gardens, scath pits, granaries, etc. The captured 3 pop from units compared to the 150 needed for leveling or even the 50 for capturing a level 4 city seems quite low for it to be a big deal as a core mechanic.
Sions are confusing. They seem pretty bad for the cost when they just have an upgradable 2h and no armor by default. I could build a custom one, which I'm not sure is intended or an exploit, but giving it a mount, full chain, and a longsword /shield was a lot better. I'm not sure most people would understand to do that -- ideally they should be a third option like the golem, or a trait like the slave for consistency. Trying to chose a base sion, then hitting female/male makes it into a non sion.
Also I really want to see encumbrance on custom unit creation. I don't know if I need that strength trait or not.
Animations on double speed in combat by default seems odd.
When I get 2x wildland quests on my bar, I don't know which objective is for what wildland offhand, and the quest book doesn't help.
I'd also like those wildlands to be a bit darker /bolder on the clothmap.
No way to clear jungles? makes it tough when you want to build in that aseg land you claimed and have 0 buildable slots. Might not be an issue when cities are revamped.
Anyways, just what I saw while running through a game. Hope some of it is new and helpful.
