The Positive.
I love the new look of FE, both UI and scenery.
The hero/champion level upgrades give great dynamic to the game.
The redesign of the city mechanics are wonderful. City development seems more simplified.
The new weapons and armor make questing and monster slaying much more fun and rewarding.
The Negative.
The pace of the game, in the beginning, seems slow. What I mean is, it takes too many turns to build up my first city's production level, workshop/mill. If my faction starts with Civic tech or if that is the first tech that I research then I can use the Rush command to build one of these production structures, instantly. If the Rush command was present by default then this could speed up the pace or the early game.
Medium to high level monsters near my starting location. This, slows down my ability to expand in the early part of the game, especially on small and tiny maps.
The lag on my computer is pretty bad, especially as the game progresses to 100 to 200 turns, more monsters and units perhaps? My system specs are pretty good.
System:
Windows 7 Home 64-bit
Intel Core i7 Q 740 (quad core hyper threaded)
4GB Ram
Geforce GT 240M 1GB Ram (driver version 295.73)
The Bugs.
The Haunter's curse all skill(name???) removed the skill bar for all of my units, including the Pass button. Key board and mouse command still worked for the fight.
My army and a bandit's army were able to occupy the same square on the world map. I had my army automatically moving to a square, and after clicking the Turn button, while my army was on the move, the bandit's army moved to the same square. No battle was started no movement was blocked. They simply stacked on top of each other just as if we were allies.
My game froze while Alt+Tab'ing to write up this forum post. By "Froze" I mean that the UI is unresponsive even though I can move my mouse and my computer is still fully functional.
