[BUG 0.77]? Big white blobs on the map.

This might be a big, or a problem with my graphics card, not sure.  But some times there is a big white blob shooting out of some tile improvements.  It looks like a blank white 3D area hovering above the map..  I think I took a screenshot, when I get home I will post it.  Any one else know what I am talking about, kind of hard to explain.

Had this happen last night (version .77).  I saved the game thinking I could send it in, but the graphics reset themselves when I reloaded.

I'm pretty sure it was the beacons from the upgraded Mana shards that were causing the problem.

I think it's the sunlight coming through the clouds effect getting pixelated

I had this happen a couple times over the weekend, also had the snow over the ice lands turn into giant snowballs. Wish I had thought to take a screen shot at the time...

I haven't had that, but I've had sparkle effects show up in the fog of war, from shards, I believe. Most of that was taken care of in one of the recent patches, but I haven't had that white blob issue.

What video card do you have (brand and model)?

i had same issue i also have the exact same card jorlass "ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3870 X2"

- i fixed this by going into my Catalyst Control Center 3d gaming settings

disable Catalyst AI
Uncheck adaptive anti aliasing
and everything else using application setting

I had the sunlight white blob issue. I've got a NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 560M card. Some other minor stuff, but that white sunlight blob curtain was downright distracting.

does the problem persist if you reload a saved version of the game?  I think we know what's causing it but want to be sure

I think its set to 1366x768.  I use an 32" TV as a monitor. And I believe it goes away if I save and reload, and then comes back after awhile.

do you know if it comes back to the same spot?  we think it has something to do with resources spawned through the course of the game, but it should go away on a reload as I understand it.  And then it could come back in other spots during the game.

 

Either way, we will try to figure it out

I reported the same problem in this thread, including a screen shot.  The problem does not persist after reloading a saved game.  I'm running at 1920x1200.  Display info from my debug.err:
