I was just messing around with the old editors and thought it might be good to make some examples of good tactical maps. Note the size is increased. This is the kind of detail that gets you a 10/10 rating by your users.

This is a great example of an easy way to give the defending side some bonuses. The wall in the middle would be shown as crumbled, lending to the openings. The inner area would be pillars that restrict combat in the case that the attackers make i through the wall. Lasts stands would be pretty fun with that kind of checkerboard approach.

I wonder if the AI will be capable of blocking off an area so that the archers are protected. Right now I am guessing that the reason every tactical battle is in an open area with just enough room for each army to take one turn to get to the middle is due to waiting on the AI to get smarter. I haven't seen Frogboy ever tackle something like this, so I am very excited to see how he does it. Might even be worth a dev journal.
