Have can we use charisma to spice up the game?
Charisma should affect your abilty to gather information, recruit new champions and retain the loyalty of champions that follow your sovereign.
01. A few champions can only be recruited by a Champion or Sovereigns of High Charisma.
- In a hut at the top of the mountain resides a skilled swordsman, a master of the blade; long thought dead. Not interested in gold he will fight at the side of a sovereign that has a Charisma of 20. A sovereign that decides to fight him will find that he is defended by expert archers.
- In an isolated tower resides a sage of intelligence 25. This sage may only be recruited by a sovereign of charisma 25.
02. High Charisma characters can unlock quests.
- Only a character of charisma 20+ can convince/trick a sage to reveal the location of a mythical flaming sword.
- Only a character of charisma 18+ can trick the widow into revealing the location of her husband's burial tomb where he was buried with a mythical shield.
- The player discovers the location of a bandit army. A character of 20+ charisma will find that they can recruit the services of this bandit army for 8 seasons. A character of lower charisma will find themselves in a battle with several units of bandits equipped with bows.
- A quest reveals the location of a tribe of Amazon warriors. Only a a character of high charisma may gain their alligiance, others venture there at their peril.
03. A sovereign's charisma affects the willingness of your champions to trade weapons.
- Maltor, serving a Sovereign of Charisma 19 is 95% willing to trade his weapons. If asked to do so there is a 5% that he leaves the sovereign's service, taking his possessions with him.
- Salve, serving a Sovereign of Charisma 10 is only 50% willing to trade his weapon. If asked to do so there is a 50% that he leaves the sovereign's service taking his weapon with him.
04. Character's charisma affects their ability to rally troops with broken morale in combat.
- A champion of Charisma 8 has a 40% to rally a broken unit. A character of Charisma 14 has a 70% to rally a broken unit.
05. Sovereign's Charisma affects the loyalty of your champions from other fractions
- Altair Sovereign of Charisma 15 declares war on Mancer. Any Mancer Champions in his employee have a 25% to switch sides and join the armies of the Mancer Sovereign.
- Trog Sovereign of Charisma 10 declares war on the Wraith Empire. Any Wraith Champion in his employee have a 50% to switch sides and join the armies of the Wraith Sovereign.
- Wriath Sovereign of Charisma 8 declares war on the Trogs. Trog units in his army have a 60% to leave his employ amd join the army of the Trog Sovereign.
