[1.2b] performance issue - 5-10 second stuttering

About once every minute or so the game will freeze for 5-10 seconds, and then continue as normal.

Video capture of the problem (occurs around 39 seconds in). Note that this is a real-time capture, ie this is exactly how I see the game (I added white text "freeze" so you see where and how the issue is).

This is a completely unmodded game.

I reinstalled a 1.2a version of the game, and the problem is present there as well.

The OP's computer seems completly different  but the problem is the same...

Thank you for bringing this to our attention.  Do any of you have a saved game that reproduces the problem?  If so, please post it online.  It may help us to identify what's causing the problem sooner.

If you do notice this, please provide your debug.err file as well.  It may also have information useful for determining what is happening during that freeze.

We'll keep looking into it here in the meantime as well.

It happens in every game for me. Just start a game and hit turn enough times and voila.  Turn off auto-save to make it easy to wiz through. Happens even in 1 on 1.

I'm getting some delays like the ones described during Tactical Battles in 1.2c. Main world is fine.

In Tactical battles it freezes on screen but will still try to process commands. When the screen unfreezes units are all over the place because of the clicking when the freeze began.
