I wasn't interested in beta's and so my last exposure to EWOM was 1.1. Watched the progression of the betas though and was expecting improvement although my 1.1 experience wasn't too bad from the bug perspective. No OOM, few annoying bugs.
Downloaded 1.2 and the annoying bugs seem to have multiplied like rabbits compared to 1.1. I don't see any noticeable performance improvements but haven't yet stressed the game (early in my first 1.2 game). But I have seen:
- floating city labels frequently missing army strength numbers
- floating city labels show stats for wrong city (saw this in 1.1 also)
- tactical combat floating damage indicators work correctly <50% of the time
- tactical combat freezing up 10% of time forcing an auto resolve finish (I never saw this in 1.1)
- clicking on tile to move units results in occasional movement to a completely different tile (saw this in 1.1)
Now these seem to be individually minor, but in aggregation it significantly hurts the player experience as I need to hunt down info that should be at my fingertips.
