Hello I dont know if others are experiencing the same issue or its an old issue but prior to march I was able to play elemental too a pretty far extent that it was somewhat enjoyable even when it would crash due to OOC issues.

I came back to the game Apr 30th and decided to play a bit and the game would let me play about 5 min and then all of a sudden the screen would go black and I would immediately get the message from my monitor that the communication from my computer had been lost. The closest thing i can explain it is as if my monitor had gone to sleep due to sleep mode. Now my computer power settings have sleep mode never. I have no problems with ANYTHING else.. surfing the web.. playing MMOs..playing Galactic Civ.

I grew frustrated and bagged my playing and then tried the update released today. I erased all my sovereign templates and saved games to start fresh. In under 10 min it again happened... consistently. Its happened in both the combat screen and the world map. I cant window out,ctrl alt delete nothing at all. I do hear the music of the game playing but the only way to get my computer back is to hold the power button down for 5 seconds.

I have a Dell XPS i7 64bit  about a year old desktop

Windows 7 Ultimate

8gigs of ram

nvidia Geforce GT 220

Dell S2309w lcd

G15 logitech keyboard

I use ESET and its turned off when i play.

I cannot find other posts with this same issue only the same OOM posts most folks have.

Thanks I really enjoy the game and want to play it but its got to the point that the frustration is overwhelming the desire anymore.
