In my current game Janusk spawns as the researcher type.  However after saving and reloading he appears as the merchant type with a complete change in the model, weapons, portrait, etc.  The first save is at the end of the turn before he spawns as the researcher and the second is the save I made immediately after he spawns, where when I load it he appears as the merchant.

A similar post was made for 1.09v, however it seemed to be attributed to a bug affecting which portrait appears.  I'm not sure if this would also alter the other traits and equipment as I'm observing.
