A new twist to my crashes when saving is this one -- I also got an OOM error message, and there were 2 dump files created (neither had zip versions). So I started this thread instead of appending to the plain old 'crash when saving' thread, in case there's something different going on (ie -- they're related instead of unrelated and just happened to occur simultaneously). Note I updated video drivers (from 258.96 IIRC to 260.99) since starting the other thread referenced above.  Crashes still occur but it's possible they're not quite as often (tho that could be my imagination -- no hard data yet).
