1.1, Minor Factions giving up before turn 1

I have be been trying to start a game with a custom faction and custom wizard. Everything was fine for the first three game creations, but since the 4th restart and onward, after the map loads, but before the 1st turn, 3-5 minor factions will bow-out of the game.

Bug or feature?

I wasn't aware minor factions could just up and quit the game. You're talking like, Ilyana and those factions right?

I decided to stop restarting and just play (in a game with 5 minors giving up before turn 1). Janusk shows up on turn 1 as an army with 3 other characters. I do not have the gold to hire them, so no Janusk for me. Is this also a feature? I have played since the game was released (I personally found it too buggy dive into).

Should I attach a saved game?

Yes. Usually, the pop-up message says they have been destroyed.

They may have been destroyed by wandering monsters. It's not out of the realm of possibility. They're supposed to start with at least one super strong guardian unit though....

Your game sounds full of all sorts of weirdness, so I'd go attach a save game to a thread in the support forum. Janusk showing up as an army on Turn 1 is a major problem.

I guess so, but the 1st turn hadn't started yet and I get multiple messages that the factions are gone.

I started over again. Now, during character creation, all of the equipment avaliable to the custom wizard is grey'd out. Also, when I try to cycle through various faces on my sovereign, all of the new type of face boxes stay highlighted (the face looks rather plan, but I currently have 6 different types of faces selected, including ones from different races and different sexes.)

Going to try quitting out the program and restarting a new game, perhaps something is borked the program out.

Edit: The full game restart seems to of fixed the problem. I still have the save of Janusk's army with the pop up messages of the minor factions being toast, if it would help.

Heya Jrandom, that Janusk glitch sounds mighty fishy... 1st I've heard of it happening (he was prolly hired by Istari to mess with new players - jk ). I'm sure though that if you post this in the bug forum with a little note for them with the file thingy they'd apreciate it since if its happened to you it's prolly happened to others & they want to remove as many of the bugs as possible. & getting Janusk, but not being able to afford the ~free~ starting hero sounds like something they will want to address sooner than later.
