No matter what I do, the game crashed upon hitting end turn when on winter 244. This is very repeatable (I would be surprised if anyone has gotten past winter 244).

You should be able to edit your OP and move it to the subforum you want with one of the options: Category
Better post a save file as well, I've gotten past that.
Thanks for the help guys, I never used filebin before so this was all new to me.
I loaded your save with patch "u" and I was able to play through without a crash.
Incidently we played a 5000 turn game yesterday with no crashes, and Brad had a 2700 turn game going without a crash. So people have been way beyond winter 244.
