well a friend and i started up a new multiplayer game on version 1.09b and we ran into some problems. the first problem was that we had saved the game on the first night and everything seemed ok. when we loaded the game up today to continue it all of our technology was there but the level counter reverted back to zero. so basically we started from scratch as far as the numerical value, but kept all out tech we had already invested in.
secondly, my friend had alot of pathfinding problems. he would click only a single tile in one direction and he would move 2 in a totally different direction. this would plague him quite often until he just got too mad(i was running down his towns with my faster units, but he had me cornered and the pathfinding made him run a different direction losing me in the process) and quite the game.
the next problem we had was the wrong save game being loaded. finally i had calmed him down, and told him to try reloading the game, maybe it would fix the problems. well, when i tried to reload the game, it would only load a game that was from 3 hours earlier(i had saved alteast twice since then). it was the save from the game that we had saved on from the night before.
also, my sovereign gained a level from a combat that he wasn't in. not sure what that was all about.
needless to say, we were both very agitated. i did have fun so i have high hopes, but i think i am going to have to give multiplayer a rest until it becomes more mature. i simply can't play a game where i invest so much time into it, and then lose it all.
