criticism is healthy. learning how to deal with criticism is an important life skill. i criticize because i care. now quit being such big babies.
now if this thread asked "how can i alter the values of the AI so that they can arrange their own marriages later in the game rather than from the start?"
I would have replied, "the AI was not designed to do that and therefore code would have to be written to change it. Unfortunately, modders don't have access to the need information to make that sort of change."
I would have replied that, because it would have been an intelligent question and worthy of a serious response.
foresight. funny.
Honestly, why are you still here? We're still going to do this mod if we can find the code to do it. Your criticism is unwarranted and unneeded. We don't quite know what effect disabling the default spouses will have. You certainly can guess with foresight and you may be right but you cannot be certain because you haven't modded it yourself yet.
Altering the arranged marriages to be later is also a valuable idea and possibility. I like it. Unfortunately, it's just as impossible as disabling the AI's arranged marriages.
Lastly, just as important as criticism is being able to deal with your peers in a respectful way. In life, you shouldn't just say peoples ideas are stupid because, frankly, that's disrespectful and adds little to the conversation, topic, or debate. You'd be wise to word things differently and the sarcasm certainly isn't winning you any karma. It's not that we can't take it or "deal with it", it just helps create a more collaborative environment which can have better outcomes. I, for one, don't come to the modding boards to have to deal with "that's stupid" from a guy who's name is "thisisretarded".
At the moment, you're a distraction to this thread. I'm not feeding the troll anymore.
I want to say when Dhuran and I were going through the files for UR2.0 we saw a file with a 1 or 0 value to tell the sov whether or not to start with a spouse. I'll have to see if I can find it again or ask him if I can't. Will keep you all posted.
Great! I'll have to get online later to understand what UR2.0 is, lol.
