Hi. I haven't played the game too long, and I like it, but I find that moving all of my units to attack the enemy in tactical combat is a little tiring. I usually now only move one or two key units to fight as a result and the rest sit back unless I really need them.
I don't know how it will be automated, but suggestions for speeding up tactical combat might be to:
1. Have units automatically move into position. For this one, I don't know how well it will be received, but for me, if I can avoid moving all my troops to the frontline myself, I'd probably use more units at a time. This could possible be helped with a possible "positioning turn" before starting the tactical battle?
2. Have more units grouped together? What I find is, in early/mid game I have quite a few Champions going around with my Sovereign, but when in tactical combat, I have to move them all individually. I may be in the minority, and it's just an idea, but if more of the champions/units could be grouped like it is in "parties", that would make tactical combat much faster for me. When I have 10 champions, maybe I can specify, say, 7 of them to one stack instead of moving 7 of them to attack the same target over and over again? One click to move everyone, or something. Not a well thought out idea, so feel free to add on.
3. Maybe some faster animations for the stone giants and such.
[Edit] 4. Give out targets for each unit first, then have them all play out at once?
This is a great game, and I hope these suggestions help.
