I got this error too. And that was that. Since the files are fairly big I put them into a 7z file and uploaded them on:

Contains also the save game though I doubt it will help. On another note the mini map got useless (froze and never updated again even in a new game) too, not sure if these problems are related.
edit: It happen again and both times it was at after a auto battle was done.
