[1.07] Crash Upon Custom Sovereign Creation ('merchant' perk is culprit)

I had just updated to 1.07 and decided to start fresh with a new game and new sovereign. Once I had finished customizing his traits and equipment, I came upon the final creation screen where I was presented with the 'cancel' and 'save' buttons (I believe this is the screen where you choose the background and motto for your sovereign). As soon as I pressed 'save' Elemental crashed and I got an "Elemental has stopped working" message.

EDIT: The crash can be reproduced by picking the 'merchant' perk for your custom sovereign.

I can confirm that the "Brilliant" trait (also rumored that "Meditative" crashes too) following this patch and using sov. creator also causes a crash. Will confirm Marlowwe's bug in a moment.

Stardock, release a quickfix, quick! How could you miss this one?

Looked through the XML code for Histories and Talents, they look fine. I suspect Stardock broke the Unit or ProduceResources code. I suspect that all the NPC's will be broken too?

I'm also getting crashes with previously saved sovereigns and races (races are probably due to the embedded sovereigns).

Can reproduce with Meditative talent alone. It looks like any combination crashes. Agree about quick fix. How does this sneak through QA?
