So I was clearing my land of various nasties to keep my caravans running unhindered, and I thought about how annoying this is to do manually when the empire starts getting large...

It sure would be nice if we had an order that we could issue to have units patrol our territory and engage any hostiles that they saw.

Ideally you could set it up in such a way that they wouldn't exceed a certain distance from the city, and maybe even the ability to set a challenge rating range they could look for.

Doable at all?
