lol that's a bit extreme... it's pretty much the consumer fault anyway... we drive the market and we thrive for new stuff all the time... The dev cycle is way too short (not to mention the QA one) and therefore we end up in situations like that... I work for a big IT company and trust me our release are all crap originally... clients know and it they always wait for the first big patch to come out but at least our big exec and shareholders are happy: we've delivered on time! The cost to salvage the stuff afterwards come from a different bucket (support) and everybody is happy

Actually, Borderlands runs fine under 10.7 if you make a single tweak.  So no, it's not the same issue at all as with Elemental.  Borderlands was making the Catalyst AI freak out and run out of memory, causing lag followed by a crash.  Elemental flat out doesn't use the GPU.  Big difference.
