I was doing the wild goose chase mission, the quest log didn't update to show any progress as I went from house to house, not sure if it's necessary. The third witches hut didn't show up on the map (wasn't highlighted out of the fog like the previous ones) showed up when I happened to pass close enough by to remove the fog and was highlighted then.
