Well, I have to say that it's definitely better now than in previous betas I've played (only since 3A). It's nice to be able to train a Raid of troops, with more "experience". Although in a weird way, I'm disappointed. It plays alot like the kingdom. They look a bit different, but they play very similar. Ok, empires use wargs, kingdom horses...but there's no strategical difference. It would be cool to see maybe horses faster, but wargs add some attack? As much as I like that you can now train raids, etc, its what made me realize there's not much difference other than appearance. Maybe the empires could have "weaker" base units, but higher count of troops per unit. Or the opposite. I don't know, they just don't FEEL too different right now.
When you research spellbooks, you don't get anything for the tech.
The tax offce shows you get 1 material for it in the build wnd. The card on the right says what I assume is right.
Also the school (again on the left) says it adds 15% economy. Heh, I guess alot of this is unnecessary seeing as the UI has been redone.
Anyways, I just hope a the release has the two factions have their own seperate "feel". I think it's a great start right now with Beta 4, so tweaks here and there could rectify that.
