I played a game where I could have sworn I chose medium map, 5 other factions and wound up on something that was really a large island with just me, the Altar and a neutral. Small enough to where there were only 6 cities on the whole thing. Anyway, to the point.
I noticed the Altar conquered the neutral and by the kingdom info, they were really building up an army. I mean it was supposedly several times mine. So I start cranking out units, which the empire still can't seem to make teams, raids, etc. Only one unit at a time. What gives?
I also noticed that Altar very early on was able to produce a staggering amount of material according to the diplomacy screen. I mean they had over 1,000 material pretty early in the game with 2 citiies! My empire still can't even cut a tree down.
So then the inevitable comes. Altar declares war! So, I figured this would get ugly considering the stats on the kingdom report. I consolidate my champions and units and have more being built, watching for the invasion. Lo and behold, her it comes! What does this might army have? The soverign walking into my territory by himself! So, killed him, Altar empire dead. I walk to their cities and there are no troops at all.
So apparently he never married, never had kids, somehow didn't have essense to teleport himself back and didn't have an army as he walked to his doom. Not only should the obvious be fixed, do kingdom's units evaporate if the sovereign dies? Seems they shouldn't. In fact, a neutral nation should probably rise up instead.
