Certain things I loved about MoO and GalCiv and pretty much any 4x game.
Unit Creation, infact I live for this and I could spend hours just trying to create that near perfect unit. So here is hoping that unit customization is as heavy if not heavier than most 4x Games.
1. Unit
Possible? If not a suggestion.
My custom units
Monk
-Fist, Monk Robes
Martial Arts?
-Light Armor, Light Attacks, High Dodge, Faster Attack
I don't know if you have an "Agility" ability that will grant faster attacks and dodge but like 4x games there were "traits or Specials" maybe something like [Monk Reflexes Lvl 1] could be added granting this unit 1/4 dodge attack. [Monk Attacks Lvl1] 4 attacks consecutively. So basically making it's attacks and dodges equal to that of a Med or Hvy attacker.
Mage Knight
-Katana, Half Plate Armor, Cloak
-Med Attack, Med Defense, Med Magical Attacks
Also how do units cast magic? I hope if 1 hand is open they can cast with that 1 hand. No idea if units will even cast spells in tactical combat. Maybe this could also be a "Trait or Special" [Magical Caster Lvl 1] Granting you the ability to cast spells... Be it offensive fireballs or defensive shields.

So you're researching diffrent swords but for cosmetics only because if you research a Wooden Sword at Level 13 [Stronger wood, better crafting experience] It's going to be just as powerful as a Level 9 Katana.
Basically this idea makes is so your Rune Knight will look the same and still kick ass. Id rather carry a Lvl 9 Katana than a Wooden sword, but if you create a Kingdom that wants to focus on strong Wood rather than Iron well.. Then Wood Armor, Sword, Equipment would be perfect for them. The only issue here is that I guess some Kingdoms wouldn't start out with Katanas youd have to research into it, unless you're given starting technologies of choice. [Optional]
