On Windows 7, one can right-click on windows special folder and change its path. So I did that, pointing My Documents to the similarly named folder on different drive (say, X:). Now all folders within that folder (on drive X:) have read-only attribute set on them (but I changed ownership to me and I am admin so it is not ownership problem).
Dunno about prefs, will look. What happens - I save the game, then quit, then start the game again (is there faster way to load savegames BTW 
?) and the list of saved games is empty when I try to load game.
My remark for XP was related to previous build.
This problem is still valid for the latest public beta.
