I started here. With 9 special resources under my feet. I hope this is not deliberate.
For reference I think I had multiple continents and small for size. Custom sov and nation too.
I have the same 9 resourses at start. Medium mapsize and single continent.
Around turn 60 the tutorial merchant said that the mapping is broken and things might be distributed poorly. So they are aware of it.
