I've suggested making it easier to figure out how much gold you have before. The very useful tracking bar at the top of the screen has since been added, allowing you to see your total gold at any time except when you have your Kingdom Report screen open, which grays out the gold total at the top of the screen. The Kingdom Report screen itself tells you all about your income and your other stored inputs but does not give you your gold total.
