So, yeah, I figured that, since apparently there should be far more spells that we can learn, we should probably have a topic to suggest them.
Here are a few of mine:-
- Ignite Forest - You set the forest on fire, burning down that forest tile and having a 25% chance to spread to any adjacent (NESW, not diagonal) tiles. Fire should probably last for a few turns (3, 5, 10?) before it burns down. It should do damage to any troops in the forest, too, whilst it's on fire. It'd help if cities gained any production bonus from forest tiles, but that's not strictly necessary, as it'd be a good method for getting rid of forests that're slowing your troops movement. Probably shouldn't require a fire shard.
- Geyser - Blows up a geyser under the target troops, moving them to a square close by. Does no to minimal damage, but moves them out of the way. Useful for when they're blocking a choke point, and for dumping them in water to drown in. Probably shouldn't require any shards.
- Eternal Darkness - Plunges a target city into eternal darkness, preventing that city from creating and food and reducing it's prestige by 3. Useful for slowing growth on a city or knocking out someone's supply of food.
- Dispel Magic - Destroys a random beneficial or negative enchantment on target city. Makes negative enchantments useful for forcing players to remove their own buffs on cities. Should be more expensive used on enemy cities.
- Greater Dispel Magic - Destroys all enchantments on target city. Allows players to get rid of great deals of enchantments on cities. Should be very expensive on the player's own cities, and even more expensive on enemy's.
So, any suggestions, ladies and gents? Feel free to contribute anything.
