Actually while I am thinking about it a City level up sound would be great to, mabey a fanfare like sound effect. And it needs to be a SFX not a music thing. While I know alot of people like game music, alot of us (me at least) hate game music and it is the first thing that gets turned off, Even before I change the aspect ratio.

Also while on the subject, and turn notification splash screen like the one in MoO2 would beawesome.  I know you guys love your little GC empire tree in the corner and it isn't going away. But bleh, out of sight, out of mind.

Both MoM and EWoM use the same mechanic: every spell takes X spell points to research. In this case, the MoM system is simply better.

Select the spell you want to research in advance. No need for any notifications, sounds etc. No points wasted.

I guess the devs wanted to have a hard cap in how expensive spells you can get. But the hard cap could also be established by the amount of spell books you have of a given school. You could then either find or research these books.
