I assume this is at the moment WAD; I really don't think its good for gameplay when you can have a lot of movement increasing gear equipped ( game seems to check for +move at beginning of turn ) , move to where you want to go, equip your combat gear, fight, and lastly change back into movement gear to get full move next turn.
If its a question of "1 turn is 6 months long" ,sure it works, logically, at least if you have a limit on carrying capacity.
Personally though, i feel its a dealbreaker for gameplay.
