i think it would be cool to implement gods into the game that help or harm you through random events (e.g. hit a city with a lightning or send you a demon to aid you in battle etc.) and that you can influence a gods favor by doing quests for him, battling against the other gods or building shrines etc....
Could work in a mod. But it do not fit into the game as the gods (titans) have been extinguished during the cataclysm.
Now sovereigns are the "gods"
