i dont know to what extent things will changes for the final game... but i'd like to have more options to design / customize my troops - not necessarily options that actually differ in values but just look...
right now there are very few design options for clothing (which look all pretty much the same), non for armor (except the different armor levels) and hardly any for weapons...
i'd like to have at least 5 options per armor class, including the possibility to change colour / colour parts...furthermore i'd like to be abe to modify parts of the armor /shields - example
you have 2 different shield quaility - wood / metal
3 different forms - buckler / kyte / tower (or whatever)
and then you can choose the colour and the symbol you want on the shield (from a list with different optins including icons, mabe spikes out of the shield, skulls nailed onto the shield etc..)
same with armor - with these type of roman armors in mind that often have some kind of adornment on them like a lion or something - i'd like to have such options for armors as well, besides lets say 5-6 different basic skins for each armor type...
same goes for helmets - you could take a few base helmet forms and then enable options for different kind of feathers, horns, visors etc...
same goes for weapons - i like to have different -non value- options for the same - e.g. you have 1h weapon class xy that gives you +4 attack +1/2 speed - and then you can choose between 10 different opions that have the same value but look different (different swords, sabers, axes, maces, hammers, flails etc. etc.)
and important point is that these customizabe options should not just be like 5 different swords that basically have the same art style, the different options should represend different "heritages" like swords that look like a knights, like a undeads with skulls and a twisted blade, like a barbarian's roasty, brute with blood on it etc. etc....
regarding values, i'd also like to get different value options for the same lvl of items - for example if you divide things into level then i want to be able to build a high level leather armor that can compete with a high level plate armor - just in a different fashion, therefore there is no "best gear" - everything has pros and cons - like plate armor make you slower etc... that is partially incorporated now but i'd like to see more of that and maybe have more then 1 value option per lvl to give some more strategic depth...
