I've seen this error too.

Also, recruiting champions is more than it says in the dialog window.  The first batch of 3 (leader Lisera, Arinoru, and Aninalue) said 368 gildar but cost 484 gildar.  The game runs at a negative number for a while where you can't spend anything till you get out of debt (I've been in debt at least 250 gildar).  All other recruits had this error too where they cost more than it said it would.
