Ran into a very annoying bug with beta2.

I uninstalled the last beta1 version (which worked fine), and installed beta2 from scratch.  It seems to run fine, gameplay wise, but much of the in-game text has disappeared.  Pretty much anything that's a menu item (both the main game screen, and all of the option pages) are totally blank.  I can see the buttons, selection boxes, etc. but there's just nothing in them.  When setting up a game, similarly, the names of all the sovereigns and kingdoms are missing but the descriptions are there.  This holds over when going in-game - the name of my sovereign and towns will not display, but the names of NPCs seem to be showing up (wandering adventurers at least, didn't go seek out AI sovereigns to see if they were named or just blank).

Any ideas on fixing this?
