I figured this would probably be included in the final game, but tinkering around in the Beta a bit made me want to bring it up anyways.
So when my Sovereign started off, I essentially had 1 Movement, 0 Attack, 0 Defense. As I developed weapons my heirs and their wives began to have higher stats than the Sovereign, despite the fact all my Combat stats were high. (I imagine alot of the customization options for Sovereigns are just placeholders at the moment and don't actually do anything.)
Now, I also noticed that the girls married to my male heirs from a more technologically advanced nation had higher attack and defense. Is this due to 'genetics' or due to weapons technology?
I think that just like in unit design, it should be possible to go back and equip your sovereigns with weapons and armor, not just magic items you find, or magic rings. I'm sure at some point it'll also be possible to enchant/create/research magic items for your units, too...but it'd be nice if you could go back to town every now and then when you develop a new technology and 'upgrade' your sovereign, or outfit them best for what they are: leather and bow and cloak for a ranger sov, heavy armor and a greatsword for a Warrior Sov, cloth robes and magic staff for a Wizardy sov...etc.
How are the stats for hero units calculated, and is it in the works to allow us to customize and equip them like units during play?
