Ok, this is just a little suggestion, and not so important, but I think that it would be cool, if we would be able to color the armor pieces. I think that I don't have to explain anything else, since it's a quite simple suggestion.

Hey you stole my idea . It's a good idea though. I was hoping they'd go a step further and make different resources in game make different colored armors and weapons.

Iron-Steel = Grey weapons and armor

Mithril = kinda blueish weapons and armor

Bloodstone = Red weapons and armor

That would bring a lot to the table for unit design and is relatively easy to do. Just recolor the standard model/skins for the items in game.

I was thinking about something similar. Given that you would be able to design your own units in the game, i figure, being provided the ability to control coloring should be there as well. If not all armies would look the same with steel armor and shields.

I prefer just having simple controls to choose the primary and secondary colors and maybe ornament colors. Then all your armies would at least have roughly the same color scheme.

Hm you know.....it would be cool to have [customizable/moddable] tabards in the game. It would definitely boost/enhance the looks of the soldiers.

It's not about the visuals, it's about telling the freaking difference between the two groups of sowrdsmen brawling on top of the hill... I think this is actauly a more crucial feature than you think.

Yea ... civ specific coloring for certain parts of units could prove quite useful ... or a certain colored "glow" about certain units ... im thinking the tunics beneath the armor for coloring.

However, there are options in some games which you can select to flash your troops green, and enemy troops red ... that might be better than forcing uniform color patterns.

You could easily put in a 'clothing' equipment type with tabards, coats, cloaks, jackets, fancy hats, whatever. Make it a simple matter of picking something to give to your troops - by default steel armor over brown leather shirts, something simple like that, but with the option to pick 'green tabard' or 'red cloak' or 'purple royal robe plus fancy feathered hat' and customize the appearance of the unit that way.

Well i said tabards since that would be easiest. Sorta like how they have it in mideval 2 total war where the only differance is tabards and their stadards

Something like the warhammer series could be fun. You know, you design the colors and emblem of the army, which is then unique to you, and it applies to all of your units^^
