"Save" button is grey. I tried to delete prefs.ini and to reinstall the game (as suggested in that thread), and it doesn't help.

I am facing the exact same issue, although I have not tried re-installing the game.

The debug shows the game running at 1280x1024--try it at 1024x768.
I know your response was directed towards the OP, but I also tried to run the game at 1024X768, the save button is still grayed out.
I think I will try re-installing it.
Is there anything else I could try?
EDIT: I am using v0.23.
