[Performance] Hangs on Create world

Using a Laptop stats as follows:

OS: Windows Vista Home Premium (64bit)

Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU     T5750  @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz

Memory: 4094MB RAM

Video Card: ATI Mobility Radeon HD 2600

Driver Version: 7.14.0010.0555 (English)

Missing DetailsDiffrent View

No details; Seems to be caused By Alt-Tabing out

 

my game hangs indefenantly on the loading(world) screen unless I alt tab. Here is the debug.err

Try lowering your resolution if possible, and reducing mipmap levels to 1. 

This is happening on a fresh game? No loading a saved game involved?

Post your debug.err to pastebin.com in any case.  If it's a new bug, you might want to open a new bug in the fogbugz tracker as per the sticky.

I was having this issue too, but it was definately after a load. I started a new game and saved, then changed my resolution to 1690x1050 and reloaded the game. I will investigate more tonight.

Loading games is well-known to be fubar-ed. I don't think they planned to have it working yet.

I got this issue when alt-tabbing (to paste a picture of a different bug no less).

Yep, alt-tabbing has also been the culprit of this issue (see here). The basically reloading of game assets was known not to work at release.

I had this problem on a fresh game (my first) running fullscreen. There *might* have been some alt-tabbing involved!

No save game, Might have alt tabbed though (remeber it was taking a while to load the map, might have checked my E-mail)

 

my game indefenantly hangs on the loading screen; If i Alt-Tab out then go back in it will instantly load.
