I liked Constantine too, although I never knew it was based on a comic book. I didn't know 'V for Vendetta' was based on a comic book either until my husabnd told me that it was - he's a comic book geek too.
As I said, 'Lord of War' was okay, but I expected it to be better. I was dissapointed with 'The Exorcism Of Emily Rose' too - I sawe tha trailer and thought it would be great, only to find that the trailer showed the best parts of the movie and that the rest of the 2 hours was just bullshit fluff.
At the moment we're watching 'Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story' (and I mean literally at the moment; dave has to keep backing it up 'cause I'm missing parts due to my trying to blog and watch at the same time) - and it's hilarious. It's WAAAAAAYYY more adult and 'M for Mature' that the TV version of The Family Guy, and that makes it fekkin' awesome. If you get the chance, you should watch it. Oh, I also highly reccomend Netflix. For $10 a month we can have three movies at a time with unlimited rentals and no late fees. It's great.
Dr Zhivago? Holy cats, dude - that's like something I'D do when Dave's gone. You might want to try Braveheart as well, that's my 'I'm going to sit here and cry until I feel better' movie.
